ACRIFIX® 1S 0126 Fast Bonding Acrylic Adhesive Solution

ACRIFIX® 1S 0126 Adhesive is designed for Bonding Narrow Areas and T-Joints across a wide range of uncrosslinked PLEXIGLAS® materials. It performs particularly well when working with Extruded PLEXIGLAS® XT Sheets and Injection Molded Acrylic components, where maintaining structural integrity is important. ACRIFIX® 1S 0126 Adhesive works reliably on Acrylic Parts with slight internal stress without increasing the risk of cracking, making it suitable for processed materials that have undergone Cutting, Forming, or Machining. Cracking is typically only expected in Parts with Extremely High Internal Stress Conditions.

This Adhesive provides Limited Gap Filling capability, which means it delivers the best results when surfaces are well aligned and properly fitted. Application is simple and controlled, as the adhesive can be applied directly from a Nozzle Bottle along the Edge of 1 Component. The Second Part is then carefully positioned into contact starting from 1 Side. After a short holding time, the Bond Forms Quickly and the components remain Securely Fixed in Position without Complex Processing Steps.

To Improve Bond appearance and reduce Bubble Formation, especially on Sawn or Rough Edges, Proper Surface preparation is recommended. Smoothing the Edges using a Scraper or Fine Wet Sandpaper with Grit 400 to 600 can significantly improve results. For Higher Precision Work, Milling or Diamond Cutting can further enhance Surface Quality. These preparation steps help minimize Air Entrapment and support the Formation of Cleaner, more consistent Bond Lines.

The Adhesive Forms a Clear, Colorless Joint, suitable for applications where Visual appearance is important. However, Slight Differences may be observed depending on the substrate Material. Bubble formation may be more noticeable when used on PLEXIGLAS® XT compared to PLEXIGLAS® GS. in Addition, when applied on Colored Acrylic Materials, minor Bleeding Effects may occur, which should be considered during Design and Finishing Stages to achieve the best overall appearance.

As a Solvent based Adhesive, ACRIFIX® 1S 0126 works by softening the Acrylic Surface, allowing Polymer Chains to interlock as the Solvent Evaporates and forms a Strong Bond. This Process delivers Fast Initial Fixing and reliable Strength, along with Good Weather Resistance for Indoor and Outdoor applications. While it provides excellent performance, proper ventilation and safe handling practices remain essential due to solvent content. When used correctly, it offers a dependable and efficient solution for professional acrylic bonding applications.
