This Advanced Flame-Retardant Polycarbonate Grade combines excellent Low-Temperature Toughness, Strong Impact Performance, UV Durability, and Thin-Wall Flame Ratings, making it suitable for applications exposed to Challenging Operating Conditions.

A Defining Characteristic of ELCRES™ EXL9034 Polycarbonate Resin is its ability to maintain Ductility Down to -40°C. Many Materials become Brittle when exposed to Extreme Cold, but ELCRES™ EXL9034 Resin is engineered to retain Toughness and Resist Cracking under Low-Temperature Conditions. This performance makes the material particularly attractive for Outdoor Equipment, Electrical Enclosures, and Transportation-Related applications.

Unlike Conventional Flame-Retardant Polycarbonate Grades, ELCRES™ EXL9034 Polycarbonate Resin is Built on SABIC's EXL Technology Platform, providing enhanced Impact Resistance and Durability. Components Molded from ELCRES™ EXL9034 Resin can withstand demanding Service Conditions while maintaining Structural Integrity and Long-Term Reliability.

Another Notable Advantage of ELCRES™ EXL9034 Polycarbonate Resin is its UV Stabilization Package. The added UV Protection helps preserve appearance and Mechanical performance during prolonged exposure to Sunlight, making ELCRES™ EXL9034 Resin suitable for Outdoor Environments where Weather Resistance is Essential.

Processing Efficiency is supported by a Melt Flow Index (MFI) of approximately 6, providing a balanced Molding Profile that supports consistent Manufacturing and good Part Quality. This allows ELCRES™ EXL9034 Polycarbonate Resin to be used across a Broad range of Molded components requiring both performance and Processability.

From a Fire-Safety Perspective, ELCRES™ EXL9034 Polycarbonate Resin delivers excellent Flame-Retardant Performance. The material Achieves a Thin-Wall UL94 V-0 rating while also offering UL94 5VA Capability, making it an attractive Choice for Electrical, Industrial, and Infrastructure applications where Stringent Flame performance is required.

For Flame Performance, ELCRES™ EXL9034 Resin Achieves UL94 V-0 Classification from 0.80 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness.
