LEXAN™ 4501 Polyphthalate Carbonate Resin is a High-Performance Engineering material designed for applications requiring High Heat Resistance, Load-Bearing Capability, and Thermal Stability. This Opaque Grade is developed to maintain performance under Elevated Temperatures, making it suitable for Structural components exposed to Continuous Thermal Stress.
When components operate under sustained Load in High-Temperature Environments, Resistance to deformation becomes Critical. This Grade delivers a High Deflection Temperature under Load (DTUL) of approximately 290°F (At 264 Psi), allowing Parts to retain their Shape and Mechanical Integrity even under combined Heat and Pressure, supporting stable performance in demanding Thermal Conditions.
Unlike General-Purpose Materials, LEXAN™ 4501 Polyphthalate Carbonate Resin is designed to provide reliable Structural Strength at Elevated Temperatures, making it suitable for applications where Mechanical Stability and Thermal Resistance must work together over Extended Periods.
From a Processing Perspective, the material supports consistent Molding Behaviour, enabling manufacturers to produce Parts with accurate Geometry and reliable Surface Quality. This contributes to improved Manufacturing Consistency and Dimensional Precision, particularly in components requiring Tight Tolerances.
LEXAN™ 4501 Polyphthalate Carbonate Resin Achieves UL94 V-2 Rating from 1.50 mm to 6.00 mm Thickness, providing Flame performance suitable for applications where Moderate Flame Resistance is required. Its performance Profile supports Safe Usage in a Variety of Industrial and Electrical Environments.
In practical use, this material is well suited for High Temperature Housings, Electrical Components, and Structural Parts where Resistance to Heat deformation is Critical. Its ability to maintain Stiffness under Load makes it a Dependable Choice for applications exposed to Continuous Thermal Stress.
