LEXAN™ 4704 Opaque Polycarbonate Resin. High Deflection Temperature

LEXAN™ 4704 Polycarbonate Resin is a High Heat Copolymer Polycarbonate Grade developed for applications requiring Food Contact Compliance, Elevated Temperature Performance, and Dimensional Stability. This Opaque material is engineered to deliver reliable Mechanical behavior in Environments where sustained Heat exposure is a Key Design Factor.

When components must operate Close to Thermal Limits, maintaining Rigidity under Load becomes Essential. This Grade offers a Deflection Temperature under Load (DTUL) of approximately 300°F at 264 Psi, allowing Parts to Resist deformation and maintain Structural Integrity during Continuous use, supporting stable performance in High Temperature Conditions.

Compared to Earlier High Heat Polycarbonate Grades, LEXAN™ 4704 Polycarbonate Resin provides enhanced Thermal Capability, making it suitable for applications where increased Temperature Resistance and Mechanical Strength are required without Compromising Dimensional Control.

This Grade has Been Superseded by LEXAN™ HPH4704, which represents the Next Generation in this material Category. However, LEXAN™ 4704 remains a Benchmark Reference for applications requiring Similar Thermal and Regulatory Performance.
