LEXAN™ CFR9131 Transparent Clear Polycarbonate Resin. Thin Wall EFR

Non-Brominated Non-Chlorinated Flame Retardant with UV Stabilizer

LEXAN™ CFR9131 Polycarbonate Resin is a Transparent Copolymer Polycarbonate developed to Combine High Flow Processing, UV Stability, and Thin-Wall Flame Retardant Performance. This Non Brominated, Non Chlorinated material is engineered for applications where Manufacturing Efficiency and Long-Term Environmental Durability must be maintained together.

For components Operating under Continuous Light Exposure, maintaining appearance and material properties over time becomes Critical. UV Stabilization is integrated into the Formulation, helping reduce Discoloration and Slowing material Degradation, which supports Extended Service Life in Outdoor or Light-Exposed Environments.

Processing performance is one of the Defining Strengths of this Grade. Its High Flow behavior enables Faster Mold Filling, even in Complex or Thin-Wall Geometries. This allows manufacturers to reduce Cycle time while Improving Part Consistency, making it especially Effective for High-Volume Production Environments.

Despite the Focus on Flow and Processability, the material Continues to meet Strict Safety Requirements. It Achieves UL94 V0 Rating from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm, allowing Designers to meet Flame performance Standards while Optimizing Wall Thickness and material Usage. This supports Compact Designs without Compromising Safety Compliance.

Dimensional Stability remains well controlled after Molding. Parts maintain their Shape and Alignment, which is important for Assemblies requiring Precise Fit and Repeatability. This balance between Flow and Stability ensures reliable performance during both Production and End use.

Another practical Advantage is its Optical Clarity. The Transparent Nature of the material enables Visibility, Inspection, or Light Transmission while still Meeting Flame Retardant Requirements. This makes it suitable for components that must Combine Safety with Visual or Functional Access.

Manufacturing Consistency is supported by stable Melt Behavior, allowing Smooth Flow through Complex Tooling and improved Repeatability across Production Runs. This is particularly beneficial in Multi-Cavity Molds where Uniformity is Essential.
