LEXAN™ DMX9455A Polycarbonate Resin is a Flame Retardant Copolymer Polycarbonate material engineered for applications requiring Surface Hardness, Electrical Stability, and Thin Section Performance. This Transparent Grade combines enhanced Durability with controlled Processing Behaviour, making it suitable for both Functional and Visually exposed Components.

In applications where Parts are Frequently Handled or exposed to Contact, maintaining Surface Quality is Essential. This Grade is formulated with a Harder Surface Profile and improved Scratch Resistance, helping reduce Wear Marks and supporting Long-Term Visual Integrity in High-Use Environments.

A Key Advantage of LEXAN™ DMX9455A Polycarbonate Resin is its ability to deliver Flame Retardant performance together with Dimensional Control, achieving UL94 HB Rating from 0.40 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness. Its capability at Lower Thickness Levels makes it suitable for Thin Wall Designs requiring stable material Behaviour.

The material also demonstrates enhanced Dielectric Properties, making it well suited for applications requiring reliable Electrical Insulation and consistent Signal Performance. This supports stable Electrical Function and Safety in Electronic Components.

With its standard Flow Characteristics, the Resin provides a controlled Molding Profile that Balances Flow and Precision. This allows reliable Filling of Molds while maintaining Part Geometry, Contributing to improved Manufacturing Consistency and Process Stability.

Despite its Flame Retardant Capability, the material retains excellent Optical Clarity, allowing its use in Transparent components where both Visibility and performance are Important. This makes it suitable for Parts requiring Inspection Access or Light Transmission with added Durability.
From a Processing Standpoint, the material offers stable behaviour with Predictable Shrinkage and consistent Surface Finish. This contributes to Repeatable Production Quality, especially in applications requiring both Functional and Aesthetic Performance.

LEXAN™ DMX9455A Polycarbonate Resin is RoHS Compliant, supporting Modern Environmental and Regulatory Standards.
