Improved High Flow, Non-Brominated Non-Chlorinated Flame Retardant

LEXAN™ EXL9112 Polycarbonate Resin is a Flame Retardant Polycarbonate Siloxane Copolymer material engineered for applications requiring High Flow Processability, Thin Wall Flame Retardancy, and improved Low Temperature Performance. This Opaque Grade features a Non Brominated, Non Chlorinated Flame Retardant System, making it suitable for Modern Electrical and Electronic applications.

In applications where Compact Design and Safety Compliance are Critical, Materials must deliver Flame performance at reduced Thickness. This Grade is formulated to achieve UL94 V 1 Rating from 0.80 mm to 1.20 mm Thickness, enabling reliable Flame Retardant behavior in Thin-Wall Components, supporting efficient and Space-Constrained Designs.

A Key Advantage of LEXAN™ EXL9112 Polycarbonate Resin is its improved High Flow Characteristics, which allow Rapid Mold Filling and efficient Production of Intricate Geometries. This supports reduced Cycle time and Higher Manufacturing Productivity, especially in High-Volume and Multi-Cavity Molding Environments.

Compared to Entry-Level FR Grades, this material provides enhanced Low Temperature Ductility at -20°C, ensuring Parts remain Flexible and resistant to Cracking under Colder Conditions. This enables Broader application Range, including Environments exposed to Moderate Cold.

The Non Halogenated Flame Retardant System aligns with Modern Environmental and Safety Requirements, offering safer material selection without Compromising Fire Performance.

With its controlled Flow Behavior, the Resin supports accurate Part Geometry and stable Dimensional Performance, helping maintain Consistency across Production Runs and ensuring reliable Assembly Fit.

Despite its Emphasis on Thin-Wall capability and Flow, the material maintains good Impact Strength and Structural Stability, allowing components to withstand Everyday Mechanical Stress.

From a Processing Perspective, the Resin Flows Smoothly and Consistently, reducing Molding Challenges and supporting reliable Manufacturing Output with High Repeatability.

LEXAN™ EXL9112 Polycarbonate Resin is also RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards.
