Non Reinforced. Low Temperature -30 °C Ductility with Good High Flow

LEXAN™ HFD1413 Polycarbonate Resin is a Transparent Polycarbonate Copolymer designed to deliver a combination of High Flow Processability, improved Low Temperature Toughness, and Optical Clarity. This Non-Reinforced, Non-Flame Retardant Grade is suited for applications where efficient Molding and consistent Mechanical performance are both required.

For Injection-Molded Parts with Complex Geometry or Thin-Wall Requirements, this Grade offers good High-Flow Characteristics, allowing Smooth Cavity Filling and improved Process Stability. such behavior supports reduced Cycle time and consistent Part Quality, making it a practical Option for High-Volume Production where Repeatability is Essential.

Performance at Lower Temperatures is enhanced compared to standard High-Flow Grades. With Ductility Down to -30°C, components remain Flexible and resistant to Cracking under Colder Conditions. This enables reliable use in Environments where Moderate to Low Temperature exposure is Expected without Moving into Extreme Cold applications.

Clarity is maintained through its Transparent Formulation, providing Clean Visual appearance and Light Transmission. This makes it Appropriate for Parts where both Functional Strength and Aesthetic Quality are Required, such as Covers, Housings, or Visible Components.

From a Mechanical Standpoint, the Copolymer Structure supports balanced Impact Resistance and Dimensional Consistency, helping Parts retain their Shape and performance during use. This contributes to stable Assembly Fit and Long-Term reliability across a range of applications.

In Terms of Flame Classification, LEXAN™ HFD1413 Polycarbonate Resin Achieves UL94 HB Rating from 0.75 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, supporting applications where Basic Flame performance is sufficient without the need for Flame-Retardant Additives.

The Grade is also RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.

This material is commonly selected for Transparent Housings, Consumer Products, Lighting Components, and General-Purpose Molded Parts where High Flow, Clarity, and improved Low-Temperature Ductility are important Design Considerations.
