LEXAN™ HFD4211 Unique Transparent Clear Polycarbonate Copolymer Resin

LEXAN™ HFD4211 Polycarbonate Resin is a Transparent Polycarbonate Copolymer Reinforced with 10% Glass Fiber, developed to deliver a combination of Structural Stiffness, High Flow Processability, and reliable Low-Temperature Performance. Unlike standard Unfilled Grades, this material is engineered to Enhance Mechanical Strength while maintaining efficient Moldability and Visual Clarity.

For components that demand added Rigidity without Sacrificing Processing Efficiency, the Inclusion of Glass Reinforcement Improves Load-Bearing capability and Resistance to Deformation. at the same time, the Resin retains High Flow Characteristics, allowing Effective Filling of Molds and supporting consistent Production of Complex or Thin-Wall Parts. This balance makes it suitable for applications where both Structural performance and Manufacturing Efficiency are required.

In Environments exposed to Mild Cold Conditions, the material maintains Ductility at -10°C, helping components Resist Cracking and maintain flexibility under Moderate Temperature Variation. This ensures Dependable performance in applications that operate Outside standard Indoor Conditions but do not require Extreme Cold Resistance.

Despite the addition of Reinforcement, LEXAN™ HFD4211 Polycarbonate Resin preserves a Level of Transparency, enabling its use in applications where both Visibility and Mechanical Strength are Important. This makes it useful for Designs that require Optical Access combined with enhanced Structural Performance, a combination not typically offered by standard Reinforced Materials.

From a Mechanical Perspective, the Copolymer Structure supports improved Stiffness, good Impact Resistance, and Dimensional Stability, allowing Parts to retain their Geometry during use and under Load. For Flame Performance, LEXAN™ HFD4211 Polycarbonate Resin Achieves UL94 HB Classification from 0.30 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, making it suitable for applications where Basic Flame Resistance is sufficient and No Flame-Retardant Additives are required.

The formulation is also RoHS Compliant, supporting alignment with Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.
