LEXAN™ HFD4413 Unique Transparent Clear Polycarbonate Copolymer Resin

LEXAN™ HFD4413 Polycarbonate Resin is a Transparent Polycarbonate Copolymer Reinforced with 30% Glass Fiber, developed to deliver Maximum Structural Stiffness, enhanced Low-Temperature Toughness, and efficient High-Flow Processability. This Non-Flame Retardant Grade is designed for applications where High Load-Bearing capability and Dimensional Control are Critical, while still supporting practical Molding Performance.

For components exposed to Significant Mechanical Stress or Structural Loading, the High Level of Glass Reinforcement provides Substantial Improvements in Rigidity and Resistance to Deformation. Compared to Lower Reinforced Variants, this formulation offers greater Stiffness and Strength, enabling Parts to maintain Form and alignment even under demanding Service Conditions.

Processing remains Manageable despite the High Fiber Content. LEXAN™ HFD4413 Polycarbonate Resin maintains High Flow Characteristics, allowing Effective Mold Filling and consistent Part Formation. This supports Manufacturing Efficiency, particularly for Complex Geometries where both Structural performance and Production Consistency must be Balanced.

Cold performance is Extended beyond standard Reinforced Grades, with Ductility maintained at -30°C. This allows components to retain Toughness and Resist Brittle Failure in Colder Environments, making the material suitable for applications where Structural performance must be maintained under Temperature Variation.

While reinforced, the Copolymer still retains a Degree of Transparency, enabling Functional Visibility where required. This makes it Possible to use LEXAN™ HFD4413 Polycarbonate Resin in applications that combine Structural Strength with Visual Inspection or alignment Needs, offering flexibility not typically available in highly Filled Systems.

Mechanically, the Composition supports a combination of High Stiffness, controlled Impact Resistance, and stable Dimensional Behavior, ensuring consistent performance over time. Parts Produced with this Grade maintain Accuracy and Durability, contributing to reliable Assembly and Long-Term Functionality.

For Flame Classification, LEXAN™ HFD4413 Polycarbonate Resin Achieves UL94 HB Rating from 0.30 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, making it Appropriate for applications where Basic Flame performance is sufficient without requiring additional Flame-Retardant Systems.

The Resin is also RoHS Compliant, supporting alignment with Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.

This Grade is typically used in High-Strength Transparent Structural Components, Reinforced Housings, Industrial Parts, and Load-Bearing applications where Maximum Stiffness, Low-Temperature Durability, and efficient Processing are required.
