LEXAN™ ML0992 Opaque Color Polycarbonate Resin. General Purpose

Medium Flow with added Easy Release. Good Low Temperature Ductility

LEXAN™ ML0992 Polycarbonate Resin is an Opaque Polycarbonate Copolymer developed for General-Purpose applications requiring balanced Processability, reliable Mechanical Performance, and improved Demolding Efficiency. This Non-Reinforced Grade is designed to deliver consistent performance in standard Molding Environments while maintaining good Toughness under Typical Service Conditions.

In Injection Molding Operations, Ease of Processing Plays an important Role in achieving stable Production. This Grade features a Medium Flow Profile combined with Integrated Easy Release Characteristics, enabling Smoother Mold Filling and more efficient Part Ejection. These properties Help reduce Molding Resistance, support Shorter Cycle Times, and Improve Consistency, particularly in Multi-Cavity or High-Volume Manufacturing Setups.

From a Mechanical Standpoint, the Resin provides good Low Temperature Ductility, allowing components to maintain flexibility and Resist Cracking when exposed to Cooler Environments. This contributes to Dependable performance during Handling, Transport, and Everyday use, even when Temperature Conditions Fluctuate.

The material is Positioned as a General-Purpose Copolymer, offering a Well-Balanced combination of Processability and Durability without the need for specialized Reinforcement or Flame-Retardant Systems. Its formulation supports stable Part Geometry and reliable performance across a Wide range of applications.

A Distinguishing Feature of this Grade is its ability to achieve UL94 HB Classification at Ultra-Thin Wall Sections Ranging from 0.50 mm to 0.55 mm Thickness, providing additional Design flexibility for Compact components where reduced material Usage is Desired.

The Resin is also RoHS Compliant, supporting alignment with Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.

This Grade is commonly applied in Consumer Products, General Industrial Components, Housings, and Molded Parts where consistent Processing, Easy Release Behavior, and balanced Mechanical properties are required.
