LEXAN™ SLX2071T Polycarbonate Resin is a Transparent Copolymer developed for Outdoor applications where Optical Clarity and Long-Term Environmental Durability must be maintained together. It is engineered to perform reliably under Sunlight, Weather Exposure, and Chemical Interaction while supporting stable Processing in demanding Manufacturing Conditions.
Maintaining Clarity Outdoors is a Major Challenge for Many Materials. LEXAN™ SLX2071T Polycarbonate Resin Addresses this with enhanced UV Stabilization, helping reduce Yellowing, Surface Degradation, and performance Loss over time. This allows components to retain their Transparent appearance and Functional Integrity even after Prolonged exposure to Sunlight and Weathering Conditions.
Processing is Influenced by its High Viscosity Profile, which provides Higher Melt Strength during Molding. This helps maintain Shape Control in Thicker Sections and Complex Geometries, supporting accurate Part Formation. The addition of Easy Release behavior Improves Demolding, reducing Tool Interaction and helping maintain consistent Surface Quality across Production Runs.
Chemical Resistance further Strengthens its suitability for Outdoor and Industrial use. LEXAN™ SLX2071T Polycarbonate Resin Withstands exposure to Cleaning Agents, Pollutants, and Environmental Contaminants, enabling components to maintain performance in Harsh Environments where Multiple Stress Factors are Present.
From a Mechanical Perspective, the Copolymer Structure provides balanced Impact Resistance and Dimensional Stability. components retain their Geometry during Service, helping Ensure consistent Fit and Long-Term reliability across different Operating Conditions.
Unlike Flame-Retardant Grades, LEXAN™ SLX2071T Polycarbonate Resin is not UL94 Rated, as its Design focuses on Transparency, UV Durability, and Environmental Resistance rather than Fire Performance.
The material is also RoHS Compliant, supporting Environmentally Responsible material selection and alignment with Global Regulatory Requirements.
