LEXAN™ FL900S Polycarbonate Resin brings together Three Priorities that are often Difficult to achieve in a Single Engineering Thermoplastic: Lower Weight, Reinforced Structural Performance, and Dependable Flame Retardancy. This Opaque, Foamable Polycarbonate Grade Contains 5% Glass Reinforcement and uses a Non-Brominated, Non-Chlorinated Flame-Retardant System, making it a Strong material Option for Industrial, Electrical, and Structural Components.

Unlike Conventional Solid-Wall Materials, LEXAN™ FL900S Polycarbonate Resin can be Processed through Foam Molding. This enables manufacturers to reduce Part Mass and material Usage while Retaining the Strength Needed for Functional Components. The Result is a Lightweight Design Opportunity for applications where every Gram Matters, but Mechanical reliability Cannot be Compromised.

The Glass-Filled formulation gives LEXAN™ FL900S Polycarbonate Resin additional Stiffness, Strength, and Dimensional Stability compared with standard Foamable Polycarbonate Grades. components can Better maintain their Intended Geometry under Mechanical Loads, supporting Durable Assemblies and more consistent performance over the Product Lifecycle.

High Viscosity is a Central Processing benefit of LEXAN™ FL900S Polycarbonate Resin. Its Elevated Melt Strength helps Promote controlled Foaming and more uniform Cell Formation, which can Improve Structural Consistency in Complex Molded Parts. This Level of Control is especially valuable when Manufacturing Foam-Molded components with demanding Shapes or Functional Tolerances.

In Service, LEXAN™ FL900S Polycarbonate Resin offers good Impact Strength and Heat Resistance.
