LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin is a High-Viscosity Linear Polycarbonate Grade developed as a Versatile Base material for the Production of both Transparent and Opaque Components. designed for applications where material flexibility and Processing Stability are Important, LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin provides a Dependable Foundation for a Wide range of Customized Formulations and Molded Products.
A Defining Characteristic of LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin is its Linear Molecular Structure and Low-Flow Behavior, which Contribute to excellent Melt Strength and Processing Control. This makes the Grade particularly suitable for applications where maintaining Shape Stability and Dimensional Consistency is critical during Manufacturing.
Because LEXAN™ 102L Resin serves as a Base Material, it can be Adapted for the Production of both Clear and Colored Products, providing manufacturers with greater flexibility in Product Development. This Versatility enables the material to support diverse requirements across Industrial, Consumer, and Technical applications.
The High-Viscosity Nature of LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin also supports the Production of Parts requiring enhanced Melt Strength and Structural Integrity. Components Produced from this Grade benefit from the Inherent Toughness and Durability Associated with Polycarbonate Materials, helping maintain performance during Handling and Long-Term use.
From an Optical Perspective, LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin is available in a Transparent Clear Form, allowing excellent Light Transmission where Visibility or Aesthetics are Important. at the same time, the Grade can also be Utilized as a Platform for the Manufacture of Opaque Products, making it a highly Adaptable material Solution.
Unlike specialized Flame-Retardant Grades, LEXAN™ 102L Resin is not designed Around UL94 Flame Classifications and is Positioned Primarily as a General-Purpose Base Resin for Compounding and Product Manufacturing.
LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin is also RoHS Compliant, supporting alignment with Global Environmental and Regulatory Requirements.
Typical applications for LEXAN™ 102L Polycarbonate Resin include Custom Compounded Materials, Transparent Components, Opaque Housings, Industrial Products, Consumer Goods, and General-Purpose Molded Parts where High Viscosity, Processing Stability, and formulation flexibility are required.
