LEXAN™ 141 Polycarbonate Resin is a Crystal-Clear Polycarbonate Grade developed for applications requiring Optical Clarity, balanced Flow Characteristics, and Dependable Impact Performance. This Standard, Non-Reinforced Resin is formulated without Specialty Additives, making it a Versatile Choice for General-Purpose Injection Molding applications where Transparency and Mechanical reliability are Key Priorities.
Designed with a Medium Flow Profile, this Grade offers an Effective balance between Mold Filling capability and Dimensional Control. The Processing characteristics allow manufacturers to produce components with consistent Detail Reproduction and stable Part Geometry, supporting efficient Molding of both Simple and Moderately Complex Designs.
A Defining Feature of this material is its Exceptional Transparency, providing excellent Light Transmission and Visual Clarity. This makes it well suited for applications where Product Visibility, Aesthetics, or Inspection Access are important Design Considerations. The Crystal-Clear appearance enables the Production of High-Quality components without the need for additional Optical Enhancements.
Beyond its Visual Performance, the Resin delivers good Impact Resistance, a Hallmark of Polycarbonate Materials. Components Produced from this Grade can withstand Everyday Mechanical Stresses while maintaining their Structural Integrity, making it suitable for both Consumer and Industrial applications.
As a standard Polycarbonate Formulation, LEXAN™ 141 Polycarbonate Resin provides a practical combination of Durability, Processing Consistency, and Optical Performance. Its balanced Property Profile allows Designers to use a Single material across a Broad range of applications without Sacrificing Reliability.
From a Flame performance Standpoint, LEXAN™ 141 Polycarbonate Resin Achieves UL94 HB Classification from 0.70 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, Meeting Basic Fire performance requirements for General-Purpose applications.
The formulation is also RoHS Compliant, supporting alignment with Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.
Typical applications include Transparent Housings, Lighting Components, Display Covers, Protective Shields, Consumer Products, and Industrial Devices where Crystal Clarity, Impact Resistance, and consistent Molding performance are required.
