LEXAN™ 191 Polycarbonate Resin is Built for applications where controlled Flow and Improved Chemical Resistance are required. This General Purpose Grade operates with a High Viscosity profile, making it suitable for Parts that benefit from Stable Melt behavior during Molding.
The advance LEXAN™ 191 Polycarbonate Resin offers Low Flow characteristics, allowing better control during Processing. The material resists excessive spreading inside the Mold, helping maintain Dimensional Accuracy in Thicker or Structurally demanding Parts.
Compared to standard Polycarbonate Grades, LEXAN™ 191 Polycarbonate Resin performs more reliably when exposed to Cleaning Agents, Industrial Fluids, or Mild Chemical Environments. This support Longer Service Life in demanding conditions.
LEXAN™ 191 Polycarbonate Resin is available only in Opaque Colors, making it better suited for structural or Non Optical Components where Clarity is not required.
Thermal and Mechanical Performance remain consistent with Polycarbonate behaviour. The material provides Solid Impact Resistance and Durability, supporting everyday Engineering applications.
LEXAN™ 191 Polycarbonate Resin achieves UL94-HB Classification from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm, making it appropriate for applications where standard Flammability Performance is sufficient without Flame Retardant modification.
Typical applications include Industrial Housings, Equipment Components, Structural Parts, and Non Transparent Enclosures, where Durability, Chemical Resistance, and controlled Molding behaviour must Work Together.
