LEXAN™ HP2 Resin is a Healthcare-Grade Polycarbonate Material designed for medical devices and healthcare components requiring Sterilization Compatibility, Biocompatibility Support and Reliable Processing Performance. Developed for demanding medical environments, LEXAN™ HP2 combines Medium to High Flow Characteristics with Added Easy Release Technology, providing an excellent balance of manufacturability, durability and regulatory-focused performance.
Medical device manufacturers rely on LEXAN™ HP2 Polycarbonate Resin for applications that undergo repeated Autoclave and Ethylene Oxide (EtO) Sterilization Processes. LEXAN™ HP2 has been Biocompatibility Assessed according to ISO 10993 and USP Class VI standards. These assessments support the use of LEXAN™ HP2 Resin in healthcare applications where material performance, patient safety and regulatory compliance are important selection criteria.
Offering a Melt Volume Rate (MVR) of 16, LEXAN™ HP2 Polycarbonate provides a Medium to High Flow Processing Profile. This balanced flow characteristic allows manufacturers to mould complex geometries while maintaining excellent dimensional accuracy and consistent product quality. LEXAN™ HP2 is particularly suitable for healthcare components requiring a combination of detailed design features and robust mechanical performance.
To improve manufacturing efficiency, LEXAN™ HP2 Resin incorporates Added Easy Release Technology. This feature promotes smooth mould ejection and helps reduce production downtime, supporting higher productivity and improved process consistency during injection moulding operations.
