LEXAN™ HP2NR Resin is a Specialized Healthcare Polycarbonate Material Developed for Medical Components that require Sterilization Compatibility without Added Mold Release Technology. Designed for applications where standard polycarbonate surface characteristics are preferred, LEXAN™ HP2NR delivers a balanced combination of Medium to High Flow Processing, Sterilization Resistance and Healthcare Compliance for demanding medical environments.
Unlike easy-release healthcare grades, LEXAN™ HP2NR Polycarbonate Resin is formulated without added release agents. This makes LEXAN™ HP2NR suitable for applications where mould release additives may be undesirable due to downstream processing, assembly requirements or specific surface performance expectations.
LEXAN™ HP2NR is compatible with both Autoclave and Ethylene Oxide (EtO) Sterilization Processes, enabling reusable healthcare devices and medical components to withstand common sterilization procedures without compromising mechanical integrity. Components manufactured from LEXAN™ HP2NR Resin maintain their performance and dimensional stability through repeated sterilization cycles.
Healthcare compliance is a key feature of LEXAN™ HP2NR. The material has been evaluated to USP Class VI requirements, making LEXAN™ HP2NR Polycarbonate a suitable candidate for medical devices, laboratory equipment and healthcare applications requiring materials with established biocompatibility credentials.
