NORYL™ 731F FDA Compliant PPE + HIPS Blend with Hydrolytic Stability

Good Surface Appearance, Low Moisture Absorption & Impact Strength

NORYL™ 731F PPE+HIPS Resin is a Non-reinforced Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) Blend engineered for applications requiring NSF/ANSI 61 Compliance, FDA Approval, and Hydrolytic Stability. This material delivers a balanced combination of High Ductility, Impact Strength, and Creep Resistance, making it suitable for components exposed to moisture and regulated environments.

Materials used in Potable Water and Food-related Systems must maintain Consistent Properties under Moisture Exposure and Repeated Use. This grade is designed with Low Moisture Sensitivity and strong Hydrolytic Stability, ensuring Reliable Performance without Degradation over Time, supporting Long-Term Water Contact Reliability.

NORYL™ 731F PPE+HIPS Resin provides excellent Surface Appearance while maintaining Strong Impact Performance. Its Enhanced Ductility helps reduce Brittleness, allowing parts to withstand Mechanical Stress and improving Durability in applications requiring Mechanical Flexibility and Structural Integrity.

Stable processing characteristics enable Smooth Flow and uniform mold filling, supporting consistent part geometry and repeatable production output. These properties help improve Manufacturing Consistency while maintaining high-quality surface finishes, reducing defects during high-volume production.

NORYL™ 731F PPE+HIPS Resin achieves UL94 HB Rating from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, supporting general-purpose flame performance requirements. It also provides good Electrical Properties and resistance to environmental stress. In addition, NORYL™ 731F is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards.

From an application standpoint, this material is well suited for Water Contact Components, Fluid Handling Systems, and Industrial Housings that require compliance and mechanical durability. Its combination of Ductility, Surface Quality, and Moisture Resistance makes it a reliable choice for a wide range of engineering uses.

NORYL™ 731F PPE+HIPS Resin ultimately delivers a dependable balance of Regulatory Compliance, Mechanical Performance, and Dimensional Stability. With its NSF certification, FDA compliance, hydrolytic resistance, and consistent processing behavior, it supports Reliable Performance in Water and Industrial Applications.
