NORYL™ CN5258 PPE + HIPS Blend with 40% Reinforced. High Modulus FR

Non Brominated, Non Chlorinated FR, Low Warpage & Surface Aesthetics

NORYL™ CN5258 PPE+HIPS resin is a highly reinforced blend combining polyphenylene ether (PPE) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS), engineered with 25% glass fiber and 15% mica for exceptional rigidity and dimensional control. This non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame-retardant material offers a strong balance of mechanical strength and low warpage behavior, making it suitable for structural applications requiring Stability and Precision Performance.

Material design within reinforced PPE systems often targets the reduction of deformation under stress and temperature. The addition of mica alongside glass fiber significantly lowers creep and improves dimensional stability, allowing parts to retain shape over long service periods. This combination also contributes to improved surface quality, supporting applications that require both Structural Integrity and Surface Aesthetics.

NORYL™ CN5258 PPE+HIPS resin delivers high modulus and rigidity, enabling it to perform reliably in load-bearing and structural environments. The formulation is optimized to minimize warpage during molding, providing consistent part geometry and reducing assembly issues. Its inherent hydrolytic stability further enhances durability when exposed to moisture and varying environmental conditions.

Processing efficiency is another key advantage of this material. Despite its high reinforcement level, it maintains good processability, allowing manufacturers to achieve consistent molding outcomes. The balanced flow behavior supports uniform filling while maintaining tight tolerances, making it effective for Precision Molded Components and High Performance Assemblies.

NORYL™ CN5258 PPE+HIPS resin incorporates a non-halogenated flame retardant system, eliminating brominated and chlorinated additives while maintaining safety performance. This makes it suitable for applications requiring environmentally responsible materials. In addition, NORYL™ CN5258 is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental and Regulatory Requirements.

From an application perspective, this material is widely recognized as a strong candidate for printer chassis and structural housings. Its combination of stiffness, low warpage, and surface finish quality allows designers to develop components that meet both mechanical and aesthetic expectations in demanding environments.

NORYL™ CN5258 PPE+HIPS resin ultimately provides a well-engineered solution balancing Rigidity, Dimensional Stability, and Processing Efficiency. With its reinforced structure, hydrolytic stability, flame retardant system, and RoHS compliance, NORYL™ CN5258 supports modern engineering needs requiring Reliable Mechanical Performance and Consistent Manufacturing Quality.
