NORYL™ CRX1005 General Purpose Chemical Resistance PPE + HIPS Blend

Low Moisture Absorption, Dimension Stability & Hydrolytic Stability

NORYL™ CRX1005 PPE+HIPS resin is a non‑reinforced polyphenylene ether (PPE) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) blend developed to deliver balanced mechanical performance with enhanced chemical resistance. This general-purpose material focuses on low moisture absorption and stable dimensional behavior, making it suitable for applications requiring consistent Performance Reliability under varying environmental conditions.

Material design in non-reinforced systems often prioritizes stability without relying on fillers or glass reinforcement. By leveraging the inherent properties of PPO™-based chemistry, this grade achieves low creep sensitivity and hydrolytic stability while maintaining good toughness. These characteristics make it highly suitable for parts requiring Long-Term Dimensional Consistency.

NORYL™ CRX1005 PPE+HIPS resin provides a balanced combination of impact strength and creep resistance, allowing components to withstand mechanical stress without significant deformation over time. Its low moisture absorption ensures that parts remain stable even in humid or wet environments, reducing the risk of swelling or structural variation and supporting Reliable Component Performance.
Chemical resistance is another key feature of this material. It is formulated to withstand exposure to various industrial substances and cleaning agents, helping extend the lifespan of molded components. This durability reduces maintenance requirements and minimizes premature failure, which is critical for applications requiring Consistent Operational Stability.

NORYL™ CRX1005 PPE+HIPS resin also delivers excellent dimensional stability due to its amorphous structure, allowing precise part reproduction and tight tolerance control. It benefits from inherent electrical insulation properties and high heat resistance typical of PPO-based materials. In addition, NORYL™ CRX1005 is RoHS Compliant, supporting Global Environmental and Regulatory Standards.

Processing advantages include good flow behavior and ease of molding, enabling efficient production across a wide range of part designs. The material’s low specific gravity also contributes to lightweight component manufacturing, making it suitable for applications where weight reduction is important without sacrificing Mechanical Integrity.

NORYL™ CRX1005 PPE+HIPS resin ultimately delivers a well-balanced solution for general-purpose applications requiring chemical resistance, dimensional stability, and low moisture sensitivity. With its stable performance profile, ease of processing, and RoHS compliance, NORYL™ CRX1005 provides a dependable material option for Modern Engineering Applications.
