NORYL™ FP5140 PPE+HIPS Resin is a Non Brominated, Non Chlorinated Flame Retardant Blend engineered for applications requiring High Flow Processing, Flame Retardancy, and Dimensional Stability. This Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) material is optimized for Large and Moderately Thin Wall components where consistent Flow and Structural performance are Essential.
Materials used in Large Enclosure applications must maintain consistent properties during Molding while ensuring accurate Geometry after Cooling. This Grade is designed with enhanced Flow Characteristics, allowing efficient Filling of Complex Shapes while maintaining Low Warpage and stable Dimensional Control, supporting efficient Manufacturing and reliable Assembly.
NORYL™ FP5140 PPE+HIPS Resin provides Strong Dimensional Stability combined with good Impact Performance, enabling components to maintain Shape under Thermal and Mechanical Stress. Its Higher Flow capability compared to more Viscous Grades allows Improved Mold Filling in Thinner Sections, making it suitable for Medium Thickness Structural Parts.
Processing behavior is optimized for consistent performance across varying Part Designs. The material maintains stable Viscosity and Predictable Flow, allowing manufacturers to achieve Repeatable results with Improved Surface Quality and reduced Defects, Contributing to Better Manufacturing Consistency and Production Efficiency.
NORYL™ FP5140 PPE+HIPS Resin Achieves UL94 V-0 rating at 2.00 mm Thickness, providing Strong Flame Retardant performance in Thinner Wall applications compared to Lower-Rated Grades. Its Non Halogen formulation supports safer material selection for Electrical and Industrial uses. In addition, NORYL™ FP5140 is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards.
From an application Perspective, this material is well suited for Electrical Enclosures, Industrial Housings, and Structural components requiring Flame Resistance and accurate Dimensional Control. Its High Flow capability allows efficient Production of Larger Parts without Compromising performance or Consistency.
