NORYL™ N6850 US and European Food Contact Compliant PPE + GPPS Blend

Hydrolytic Stability, Amorphous, Low Shrinkage and Creep Resistant

NORYL™ N6850 PPE+GPPS Resin is a General Purpose Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) and General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) Blend developed for applications requiring US and European Food Contact Compliance, Hydrolytic Stability, and Dimensional Stability. This material offers a balanced Mechanical Profile with Low Density, making it suitable for components where Lightweight Design and Regulatory Compliance are Essential.

Materials used in Food Contact applications must maintain consistent properties under Moisture Exposure, Cleaning Conditions, and Long-Term use. This Grade is engineered with Strong Hydrolytic Stability and Low Moisture Sensitivity, ensuring reliable performance without Degradation, supporting Long-Term Hygiene and Safety Compliance.

NORYL™ N6850 PPE+GPPS Resin provides stable Dimensional Control combined with Low Shrinkage Behavior, allowing components to maintain accurate Geometry during and after Molding. Its balanced formulation supports applications where Precision and Stability are critical for consistent Performance.

Processing characteristics are optimized for Smooth Flow and Predictable Shrinkage, enabling consistent Mold Filling and reliable Part Formation. This contributes to improved Manufacturing Consistency while maintaining Surface Quality and Dimensional Accuracy across Production Cycles.

NORYL™ N6850 PPE+GPPS Resin supports Food Contact Compliance in both US and European Standards, making it suitable for Regulated applications. While it is classified as Non UL Rated, it remains Effective for applications where Flame Resistance is not required. In addition, NORYL™ N6850 is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards.

From an application Perspective, this material is well suited for Food Contact Components, Packaging Systems, and Lightweight Industrial Parts requiring Compliance and Dimensional Stability. Its Low Specific Gravity and stable Mechanical Profile support efficient and reliable Product Design.
