NORYL™ PX1180 PPE+HIPS Resin is a Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) Blend developed for Automotive Body Panel and Instrument Panel applications requiring Impact Resistance, Dimensional Stability, and controlled Appearance. This material is engineered to meet automotive performance Expectations while delivering consistent behavior in Structural Interior Components.

For Dashboard and Panel Systems, Materials must perform reliably during Safety Events without Compromising Structural Alignment. This Grade meets the ECE Dashboard Impact Standard, ensuring components can Absorb Energy Effectively and support controlled Impact Response and Passenger Safety in Automotive Environments.

With its optimized Formulation, NORYL™ PX1180 PPE+HIPS Resin delivers Dependable Impact Strength combined with stable Dimensional Control, allowing components to maintain Fit and Integrity under Load. This balance supports applications where Structural Accuracy and performance reliability are Critical.

A Distinct Advantage of this Grade is its availability in Black Color Only, aligning with Common Automotive Interior Design Requirements. This Simplifies Color Matching while maintaining uniform appearance across Visible Parts, supporting consistent Interior Aesthetic Integration.

From a Processing Perspective, the material offers stable Molding behavior with Predictable Shrinkage Characteristics. This enables accurate Replication of Complex Geometries and contributes to improved Manufacturing Consistency and Surface Quality in High-Volume Production.

NORYL™ PX1180 PPE+HIPS Resin is classified as Non UL Rated, making it suitable for applications where Flame Retardancy is not required but Impact performance remains Essential. In addition, it is RoHS Compliant, supporting Global Environmental Standards.

In Real-World use, this Grade is well suited for Automotive Instrument Panels, Dashboard Structures, and Interior Functional Parts where Impact performance and consistent appearance are required. Its properties support reliable use in Safety-Relevant Interior Systems.
