NORYL™ PX1630 Certified Water Potable PPO + HIPS Unique UL Rated Blend
General Purpose High Heat Resin for Water Management Applications
NORYL™ PX1630 PPE+HIPS Resin is a Non Reinforced Polyphenylene Ether (PPE/PPO) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) Blend engineered for applications requiring Hydrolytic Stability, Dimensional Stability, and High Heat Resistance. This Grade is developed for Potable Water applications, where consistent material performance and Long-Term reliability are Essential.
In Water-Contact Environments, Materials are continuously exposed to Moisture, Temperature Variation, and Chemical Interaction with Fluids. This Grade is formulated to resist degradation under these Conditions, maintaining stable Mechanical properties and Structural Integrity over time, supporting reliable performance in Water Systems.
Without Reinforcement, NORYL™ PX1630 PPE+HIPS Resin offers uniform material behavior and controlled Ductility, which helps reduce Internal Stress during Molding and In-Service use. This contributes to consistent Dimensional Stability and Low Warpage, especially important in Precision components used in Flow and Sealing Systems.
A Key Advantage of this material is its Strong Hydrolytic Resistance, allowing it to maintain performance even under prolonged exposure to Water. Combined with Low Moisture Uptake, this ensures components retain Shape and Functionality, supporting Long-Term Durability in Potable Water Environments.
From a Processing Perspective, the Resin provides Predictable Flow and stable Shrinkage Characteristics. This enables accurate Molding of components and contributes to improved Manufacturing Consistency and Part Quality, especially in applications requiring Tight Tolerances.
NORYL™ PX1630 PPE+HIPS Resin Achieves UL94 HB Rating from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm Thickness, making it suitable for applications where Flame Retardancy is not the Primary Requirement. Its formulation supports consistent performance under Thermal Conditions Typical of Water Systems. In addition, it is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards.
In practical use, this Grade is well suited for Potable Water Components, Fluid Handling Parts, Valves, and Housings where Moisture Resistance and Dimensional Stability are Critical. Its combination of Thermal Stability and Hydrolytic performance makes it a reliable Option for Long-Term Service.
At its Core, NORYL™ PX1630 PPE+HIPS Resin delivers a Dependable balance of Hydrolytic Stability, Dimensional Control, and Thermal Performance. It provides a trusted material Solution for applications requiring consistent performance in Water Contact and Fluid Systems.
