PLEXIGLAS® Film 0F058 is a Premium PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) Light Guide Film developed for applications that demand exceptional Optical Clarity and efficient Light Management. It delivers up to 92% Luminous Transmittance and Optical Damping of 70–100 Db/Km, enabling Light to travel over Long Distances with Minimal Loss.

The material is specifically designed for Light Guide Panel (LGP) Systems used in Backlight Units and Display Modules. In these Systems, LEDs introduce Light from the Edges of the PLEXIGLAS® Film, where it is distributed across the thin film through Optical Engineering.

PLEXIGLAS®  0F058 PMMA Film utilizes the principle of total Internal Reflection, where Light Travels within the film without escaping. Carefully designed Micro-Patterns on the surface then Scatter the Light Outward, Transforming Guided Light into uniform, controlled Surface Illumination. This Process ensures consistent Brightness across the Entire Panel, Eliminating Hotspots and Dark Areas.

The Film’s Flexibility allows integration of a wide range of Microstructuring Techniques. Physical Methods such as Hot Embossing, Injection Molding, and Melt Calendering enable Precise Surface Patterning, while Chemical Techniques such as Inkjet and Laser Printing provide High Resolution Micro-Feature Control. These approaches support Micro-Lens structures that enhance Light Extraction Efficiency and Luminance Uniformity, enabling Thinner and more Advanced LGP Designs. Roll-To-Roll (R2R) Processing further improves Scalability and Production Efficiency.
