GEPAX™ 72011N Sheet. Haircell Textured Opaque Solid Polycarbonate
UL 94 Rated, Haircell Texture for Better Mar Resistance & Aesthetic
GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet is a unique Haircell Textured material designed for Industrial applications that demand Durability, Color Stability, and Long-Term Performance. The Specialized Haircell Texture, sometimes referred to as a “Hairline Texture,” offers better scratch Resistance, helping the surface maintain a Clean appearance even under Frequent Handling or Contact. This makes the GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet suitable for High Use Environments where Aesthetics and Functionality must be preserved over Time.
Engineered to Perform in challenging conditions, GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet provides good stiffness across a Wide Temperature Range from –30 °C to +110 °C. The Thermal Stability ensures that the Sheet maintains rigidity and Dimensional Accuracy even when exposed to Fluctuating Temperatures. Its High Impact Strength further enhances Reliability, making it a Strong Yet Lightweight alternative to Metal Panels. The Toughness of Polycarbonate allows the Sheet to withstand Heavy Use, Mechanical Stress, and Accidental Impacts without Cracking or Breaking, which is critical for Machine Covers, Enclosure Skins, and Protective Housings.
The Material also offers Excellent Formability. GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet can be Thermoformed or Cold-Formed, making it highly suitable for Complex Shapes, Custom Fit Machine Skins, and Industrial Component Designs. This Grade is Opaque and Available in Standard Colors such as Black 78927 and Light Grey 78944. Its Color consistency and Uniform Opacity make it Ideal for applications replacing Metal Sheets where appearance and Branding Matter. As Part of the GEPAX™ Series, it includes Strong Flame Resistant Properties and Achieves UL 94 V-0 at 3 mm, meeting Strict Safety Requirements for Industrial Equipment and Electrical Applications.
Chemical Resistance is another benefit of this GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet. It withstands Exposure to Common Substances like Mineral Oils, Greases, and Aliphatic Hydrocarbons Under Moderate Stress. For Aggressive Chemicals or Unique Environments, Application Specific Testing is recommended to Ensure Compatibility. In Addition, GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet provides Good Electrical Insulating Properties, making it suitable for Electrical Enclosures or Components that require both Structural Strength and Dielectric Performance. Its Lightweight Nature compared to Metal Sheets Reduces Overall Equipment Weight while still offering High Mechanical Performance.
For Optimal Processing, Pre-Drying the Sheet is typically required Before Thermoforming to prevent Moisture Related Defects. After Forming or Bending, allowing Time for Stress Relaxation or Shrinkage Helps Achieve the Best Dimensional Stability. Designed Specifically for Machine Covers, Skins, and Industrial Panels that require Colored Polycarbonate Solutions, POLYVANTIS GEPAX™ 72011N Polycarbonate Sheet is a High Opacity, High Performance Material developed to Replace Metal in Modern Industrial applications while offering Improved Design Freedom, Better Formability, and Long-Term Durability.
