LEXAN™ F2000 Sheet is a High-Performance Flame-Retardant Polycarbonate Sheet engineered for demanding Mass Transportation, Rail, Infrastructure and Industrial applications requiring Exceptional Fire Safety, Impact Resistance and Thermoforming Capability. Developed to meet Stringent International Flame, Smoke and Toxicity (FST) Standards, LEXAN™ F2000 combines Outstanding Mechanical performance with Regulatory Compliance, making it an Ideal material for Rail Interiors, Lighting Systems, Transportation Equipment and Safety-Critical applications.

Designed specifically for Public Transportation Environments, LEXAN™ F2000 Polycarbonate Sheet Complies with Numerous International Fire Safety Standards including NF P 92-505, NF F 16-101, DIN 5510 and CEN/TS 45545 requirements for Railway applications. These Certifications make the material suitable for Projects where Passenger Safety, Fire performance and Regulatory Compliance are Essential.

A Major Advantage of LEXAN™ F2000 is its Outstanding Flame-Retardant Performance. The material Achieves UL94 V-0 Classification and further Attains the more Stringent UL94 5VA Rating in Thicknesses Ranging from 6.0 mm to 12.7 mm, Demonstrating its ability to Resist Flame Propagation under Severe Fire exposure Conditions. This Exceptional Fire performance supports its use in Transportation, Infrastructure and Industrial Environments where Safety Standards are highly regulated.

In addition to its Flame-Retardant Properties, LEXAN™ F2000 Sheet delivers excellent Impact Resistance. The Inherent Toughness of Polycarbonate provides Protection against Accidental Impacts, Vandalism and Mechanical Stress while maintaining Structural Integrity and Transparency. This allows Designers to achieve both Safety and Durability within a Lightweight material Solution.

The material is particularly well suited for Thermoforming applications. LEXAN™ F2000 has been developed to support Deep-Draw Thermoforming Processes while maintaining excellent Wall Thickness distribution and Dimensional Consistency. This allows manufacturers to create Complex Geometries and Large Formed Parts without Sacrificing performance or Appearance.

Unlike Many Traditional Flame-Retardant Materials, LEXAN™ F2000 Polycarbonate Sheet combines Fire Safety with Outstanding Design Freedom. The Lightweight Nature of Polycarbonate helps reduce Overall Component Weight compared with Glass or Metal Alternatives, while the excellent Formability supports Innovative Product Designs for Transportation and Industrial applications.

The Sheet offers Crystal-Clear Transparency in its Clear Version, making it suitable for Glazing, Protective Barriers, Lighting Covers and Viewing Panels. For applications requiring Light Diffusion and Visual Comfort, an Opal-White Version is also Available.

LEXAN™ F2000 has Demonstrated Compliance with Major International Railway Standards, Including:

German DIN 5510 S4 SR2 ST2 at 3 mm
French NF F 16-101 M2 F2 at 2 mm to 8 mm
CEN/TS 45545 R4 requirements for Lighting applications

These approvals make the material a preferred Solution for Train Interiors, Lighting Systems, Protective Glazing, Equipment Enclosures and Transportation Infrastructure Projects.

Beyond Transportation applications, LEXAN™ F2000 Sheet can also be utilized in demanding Industrial Environments, including Energy and Oil & Gas Facilities, where Flame Performance, Impact Resistance and Durability are critical performance Requirements.

Available in Clear 112 and Opal White WH6D060X, LEXAN™ F2000 provides flexibility for both Transparent and Diffused-Light applications while maintaining its Outstanding Safety Performance.
