ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin is a High-Performance Polyetherimide and Polycarbonate-Ester Blend designed for Applications requiring Food Contact Compliance, improved Flow, and enhanced Impact Performance. With a Glass Transition Temperature of 217°C, ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin delivers excellent Thermal Stability across demanding Operating Conditions, making it suitable for High-Temperature Environments.

The Advanced Blend Structure in ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin combines High Strength and Heat Resistance of PEI with enhanced Toughness and improved Processability, allowing greater Design Flexibility compared to Standard ULTEM™ Resins. This balanced Performance enables Manufacturers to produce Complex, High-Precision Components where Impact Resistance and Flowability remain Critical Requirements.

ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin is certified for Global Food Contact Compliance, including U.S. FDA and EU Regulations, along with Other International Standards in Controlled Colors. This ensures safe and reliable use of ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin in Regulated Environments such as Food Service Equipment, Kitchen Appliances, and Consumable-Related Applications.

The material provides inherent Flame Retardancy without Halogenated Additives, while maintaining Strong Mechanical Properties such as Strength and Modulus at Elevated Temperatures. Compared to ULTEM™ 1000 Resin, ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin offers Higher Flow, enabling efficient Processing, shorter Cycle Times, and production of Thin-Wall or Intricate Parts.

ULTEM™ 1285 PEI Blend Resin supports Metallization without Primer, allowing Durable Coatings and advanced Surface Finishing Options with strong Adhesion. Availability in Transparent Amber and Opaque Colors provides enhanced Aesthetic and Functional Design Flexibility for a wide range of Applications.
