ULTEM™ 2312EPR PEI Resin is a High-Performance Engineering Thermoplastic reinforced with 30% Milled Glass Fiber, designed for Applications requiring Superior Electroplating Adhesion, High Flow Processing, and exceptional Structural Strength. With a Glass Transition Temperature of 217°C, ULTEM™ 2312EPR PEI Resin maintains Stability under demanding Thermal Conditions, supporting reliable Performance in High-Temperature Environments.
A key advantage of ULTEM™ 2312EPR PEI Resin lies in its advanced Surface Finishing Capability, where the Formulation enables significantly improved Plating Performance. This allows stronger Adhesion of Metal Layers, making the Material suitable for both Functional and Decorative Applications requiring Durable Coated Surfaces.
Enhanced Flow Characteristics allow efficient Processing and improved Mold Filling, especially for Complex Geometries. ULTEM™ 2312EPR PEI Resin provides up to Four Times higher Plating Adhesion and approximately 30% improved Flow compared to Standard ULTEM™ 2000 Reinforced Grades, enabling a balanced combination of Surface Performance and Manufacturing Efficiency.
Internal Mold Release Capability supports smoother Demolding and reduced Friction during Processing, helping to lower Cycle Times and maintain consistent Part Quality. This Processing Advantage contributes to stable Production and improved Repeatability in High-Volume Manufacturing Environments.
The use of Milled Glass Reinforcement in ULTEM™ 2312EPR PEI Resin enhances Dimensional Stability and provides more Isotropic Strength compared to traditional Fiber Systems.
