ULTEM™ CRS5301 Chemical Resistance 30% Glass Reinforced, PEI Resin
Standard Flow Formulated. High Heat, Hydrolytic and Chemical Stability
ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin is a High-Performance Engineering Thermoplastic reinforced with 30% Glass Fiber, developed for Applications requiring both High Mechanical Strength and advanced Chemical Resistance. ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin extends the CRS Platform by combining Structural Reinforcement with enhanced Resistance to aggressive Chemical Environments, supporting reliable Performance in demanding Industrial Systems.
A key advantage of this Material lies in its ability to withstand Exposure to strong Acids, Bases, Aromatics, and Ketones while maintaining Structural Integrity. This Chemical Stability allows Components to perform consistently in harsh Processing Environments where continuous Chemical Contact and Mechanical Load are present.
The Standard Flow Profile of ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin provides controlled and predictable Processing Behavior, allowing consistent Molding Quality across Complex Geometries and thick-section Parts. This Processing Stability supports reliable Manufacturing Outcomes and repeatable Part Performance.
From a Structural Perspective, the 30% Glass Fiber Reinforcement delivers High Stiffness, increased Modulus, and improved Dimensional Stability, allowing Components to retain Shape and Alignment under Long-Term Mechanical Stress. This Performance makes ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin suitable for Applications requiring Precision and Load-Bearing Capability.
Inherent Flame Retardant Properties enable ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin to achieve UL94 V0 Rating from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm, adding reliable Flame Resistance to its overall Performance Profile without the use of Halogenated Additives.
Thermal Stability remains a defining characteristic, allowing the Material to operate under Elevated Temperatures without loss of Mechanical Performance. This ensures long-term Reliability in Conditions combining Heat, Chemical Exposure, and Structural Load.
Availability in Transparent Amber and Opaque Options allows Design Flexibility depending on Application Requirements, supporting both Functional Visibility and Structural Applications.
ULTEM™ CRS5301 PEI Resin enables development of High-Strength Components capable of resisting Chemical Attack and Mechanical Stress simultaneously, reducing Failure Risk in demanding Systems. The Material is also RoHS Compliant, supporting Environmentally Responsible Material Selection while delivering Durable Performance in harsh Operating Conditions.
