ULTEM™ DH1004 PEI Blend Resin introduces a different Performance Profile within Polyetherimide Materials by emphasizing Toughness, Ductility, and Hydrolytic Stability alongside High-Temperature Capability. This Transparent PEI-Based Blend allows Components to retain Heat Resistance while gaining improved resistance to Mechanical Stress and Environmental Exposure.
Instead of focusing primarily on Rigidity, the Material is developed to provide greater Flexibility under Stress, allowing Components to absorb Impact and reduce risk of Brittle Failure. This Characteristic makes ULTEM™ DH1004 PEI Blend Resin suitable for Applications where repeated Handling or Mechanical Loading can lead to Cracking in more Rigid Materials.
Resistance to Moisture and Hydrolytic Degradation forms another critical Performance Advantage, allowing the Material to maintain Structural Integrity in Environments involving Steam, Humidity, and frequent Washing Cycles. This ensures reliable Operation in Conditions where Water Exposure would typically reduce Material Lifespan.
The balance of Impact Strength and Ductility supports long-term Durability, particularly for Components exposed to Dynamic Loads or repeated Use. By reducing Stress Concentration and Crack Propagation, ULTEM™ DH1004 PEI Blend Resin enables more reliable Performance throughout extended Service Life.
