ULTEM™ HU2200 20% Glass Reinforced PEI. USP Class VI, Transparent

Resistance for repeated Sterilization Cycles Medical applications

ULTEM™ HU2200 PEI Resin is designed for Medical applications where Mechanical Strength must be maintained through repeated Sterilization Cycles. This 20% Glass Reinforced Polyetherimide combines Structural Rigidity with Healthcare Compliance, making it suitable for demanding Device Environments.

ULTEM™ HU2200 reinforces Performance through its Glass Fiber content. components maintain Shape under Load. stability improves in Larger or more Complex Geometries where Unfilled Materials May Deform during use or Sterilization.

ULTEM™ HU2200 PEI Resin is Qualified to USP Class VI Standards, supporting use in Medical and Pharmaceutical Environments requiring validated material Safety. This makes it suitable for components that Interact with Regulated Systems or require Proven Biocompatibility for Indirect Contact.

Sterilization Resistance is a key advantage. The material performs reliably across Multiple Sterilization Cycles, maintaining Mechanical Integrity without Significant degradation. This allows Longer Service Life in Reusable Medical components.

ULTEM™ HU2200 PEI Resin follows a standard Flow Profile, providing consistent Molding behaviour for Precision components. Dimensional Control is maintained, even when subjected to Heat and repeated Cleaning Cycles.

Thermal capability is aligned with the PEI Platform. ULTEM™ HU2200 PEI Resin operates with a Glass Transition Temperature Near 217 °C, supporting Performance in High Temperature Sterilization Environments.

from a Fire Performance Perspective, ULTEM™ HU2200 PEI Resin achieves UL94 V0, 0.41 mm ~ 3.00 mm Rated, enabling use in applications requiring reliable Flame Resistance in Thin Sections.

the material is available in Transparent Amber and Opaque Color options, allowing flexibility Depending on Device Design and Functional Visibility Requirements.

Typical applications include Medical Device Housings, Sterilisable Structural components, Pharmaceutical Equipment, and Precision Assemblies, where Compliance, Strength, and Durability must Work Together over repeated use Cycles.

Environmental Considerations are addressed through RoHS Compliant material Standards, supporting Integration into Regulated Healthcare and Industrial Systems.
