ULTEM™ SF2250 is an Advanced 20% Glass Reinforced Polyetherimide (PEI) Resin engineered specifically for Thin-Wall applications requiring Exceptional Flow and Precision. Developed as Part of the High-Performance SF Series, this material combines Structural Strength with a High Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) of 217°C, enabling reliable performance in Demanding Thermal Environments. It is available in Transparent Amber and Opaque Variants, with added Easy-Release characteristics to Support efficient Molding.

Within the Broader ULTEM material family, Grades such as ULTEM™ PW2200 Demonstrate how Similar Reinforcement Levels can be Adapted for Potable Water and Food-Contact Compliance, Carrying Certifications Like NSF 61, WRAS, and EU Standards. While those Grades Focus on Regulatory Environments, SF2250 Shifts Attention Toward Processing Innovation and Complex Geometries.

ULTEM™ SF2250 Introduces a Unique High-Flow formulation that enables manufacturers to achieve Extremely Thin Wall Sections without Sacrificing Mechanical Performance. This makes it particularly valuable in applications where Weight Reduction, Miniaturization, or Tight Tolerances are Key Design Drivers. The enhanced Flow also allows Better Replication of Intricate Mold Features, Improving Overall Part Quality.

ULTEM™ SF2250 maintains the Inherent Flame Resistance Typical of PEI Materials, achieving UL94 V-0 Ratings in the Thickness range of 1.50 mm to 1.65 Mm. alongside Thermal Stability, it offers Dependable Chemical Resistance and Long-Term Durability. In Addition, ULTEM™ SF2250 is RoHS Compliant, aligning with Global Environmental Standards and ensuring suitability for Regulated Markets.

Processing Efficiency is a Key Advantage of this Series. The Super-Flow behaviour Significantly Reduces Injection Pressure Requirements and supports Faster Cycle Times, making it easier to Manufacture Complex and Lightweight Parts at Scale.
