ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin, 20% Glass Reinforced. High Flow Formulated
High-Strength Material for Thin Sections and Structural Efficiency
ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin is a High-Performance Engineering Thermoplastic Reinforced with 20% Glass Fiber, developed for Thin-Wall applications requiring enhanced Flow, Structural Strength, and consistent Molding Precision. ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin maintains reliable Mechanical Stability under Elevated Temperature Conditions, supported by a Glass Transition Temperature of 217°C, allowing Dependable performance in demanding Thermal Environments.
Within the SF Series, this Grade represents an Advancement in Processing Efficiency, where Improved Flow behaviour allows more Effective Filling of Complex Mold Cavities and Thin Geometries. This enhanced Moldability reduces the Risk of Incomplete Filling while preserving Structural Integrity, making ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin suitable for Precision components where Consistency remains critical Requirements.
Compared to other Materials within the ULTEM Portfolio, this Grade is optimized for Processing performance rather than Specialized Certification Requirements. The balance between Reinforcement and Flow allows ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin to support Lightweight Design while maintaining sufficient Mechanical Strength for Structural use.
The optimized Flow Profile enables uniform material distribution during Injection Molding, allowing Improved Surface Definition and Dimensional Accuracy. This ensures components meet Strict Engineering Tolerances while supporting efficient Manufacturing Processes.
An Integrated Easy-Release Characteristic supports Smoother Demolding and Reduces Risk of Part Distortion, allowing Improved Cycle Stability and consistent Production Output. This Processing Advantage helps Reduce Defects and supports Higher Productivity in High-Volume Manufacturing Environments.
Inherent Flame Retardant Properties allow ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin to achieve UL94 V0 Rating from 1.50 mm to 1.65 mm, supporting Safe performance in applications requiring Flame Resistance. The material also provides Strong Thermal Stability and Chemical Resistance, ensuring Durability in Industrial Operating Conditions.
Enhanced Processing capability allows Engineers to Design Lightweight and Thin components with High Precision, making ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin suitable for Electronics, Aerospace Systems, and Precision Industrial applications where Space and Weight Optimization are Important.
ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin provides a Refined balance of High Flow, Reinforced Strength, and stable Thermal Performance. with reliable Processing Characteristics, Flame Retardant Properties, and RoHS Compliance, ULTEM™ SF2255 PEI Resin supports Next-Generation Engineering applications requiring Thin-Wall Precision and Manufacturing Efficiency.
