ULTEM™ SF2270 PEI Resin is a High-Performance Engineering Thermoplastic reinforced with 20% Glass Fiber, designed to deliver Maximum Flow Performance for Thin-Wall and High-Precision Applications. ULTEM™ SF2270 PEI Resin enables efficient Molding of Complex Geometries while maintaining Structural Integrity, supported by a Glass Transition Temperature of 217°C for reliable High-Temperature Stability.
Within the SF Series, this Grade represents an advanced level of Flow Optimization, where enhanced Material Behavior allows easier filling of intricate Mold Cavities and ultra-thin Sections. Compared to earlier Grades, ULTEM™ SF2270 PEI Resin provides significantly improved Moldability while retaining core Mechanical Strength and Dimensional Stability.
Superior Flow Characteristics allow reduced Injection Pressure and more uniform Material Distribution during Processing, supporting consistent Part Formation across Complex Designs. This Processing Advantage allows Manufacturers to achieve higher Precision and improved Detail Reproduction in demanding Applications.
An integrated Easy-Release Characteristic supports smoother Demolding and reduces risk of Surface Defects and Part Distortion. Combined with Glass Fiber Reinforcement, ULTEM™ SF2270 PEI Resin maintains controlled Dimensional Stability while enabling efficient Manufacturing Performance.
Inherent Flame Retardant Properties enable ULTEM™ SF2270 PEI Resin to achieve UL94 V0 Rating between 1.50 mm and 1.65 mm, supporting safe Performance in Applications requiring Flame Resistance. The Material also demonstrates reliable Resistance to Heat and common Industrial Chemicals, ensuring Durability in challenging Operating Conditions.
