ULTEM™ XP110 PEI Foam is engineered for applications where Weight Reduction Directly improves System Performance. This Non Reinforced Polyetherimide Foam combines Extremely Low Density with Strong Mechanical Behaviour, making it suitable for Aerospace and Advanced Engineering Structures.
This Advance PEI Foam operates at a Lightweight Density of approximately 100–110 kg/m³, significantly reducing mass compared to Solid Materials. Despite its Low Weight, the foam maintains High Strength to Weight Performance, enabling Structural Efficiency in Load Sensitive Applications.
ULTEM™ XP110 PEI Foam meets FAR 25.853 requirements, supporting use in Aerospace Environments where Flame, Smoke, and Toxicity (FST) performance is critical. The material is designed to limit Flame Spread and reduce Smoke Generation during Exposure.
Chemical Durability support Long Term Use. ULTEM™ XP110 PEI Foam shows Broad Resistance to Chemicals, allowing it to perform in Environments where Exposure to Fluids or Cleaning Agents is expected.
The Foam exhibits Low Water Absorption and does not Support Mold or Fungus Growth, making it suitable for Environments with Humidity or Fluctuating Conditions.
ULTEM™ XP110 PEI Foam maintains stability across a Wide Temperature Range, supporting Structural use in Dynamic Operating Environments.
Because of its Cellular Structure, the material provides additional benefits such as Insulation, Weight Optimization, and Impact Absorption, making it Adaptable to a Wide range of Engineering Designs.
Typical applications include Aircraft Interiors, Transportation Panels, Lightweight Structural Cores, Insulation Components, and Specialized Industrial Assemblies, where reducing Weight without compromising performance is essential.
