VALOX™ 176 General Purpose PBT Resin is designed as a Foundational material for Blending, Compounding, and formulation Development, rather than as a finished Injection Molding Resin. It offers a Clean, stable Platform for Engineers and Compounders who require a consistent Base Resin to Build Customized material Systems.
VALOX™ 176 General Purpose PBT Resin provides a Semi-Crystalline Polybutylene Terephthalate Structure that delivers Inherent Thermal Stability, Chemical Resistance, and Dimensional Consistency, making it Ideal for Modification and integration into Advanced Formulations. Its Unfilled, Natural Color Form allows Maximum flexibility for Incorporating Additives, Reinforcements, or Color Systems without Interference.
In Many Cases, Product performance is not achieved through a Single Material, but through Formulation. This Resin supports that Process by offering Predictable Base Properties, ensuring that Downstream Enhancements such as Glass Fiber Reinforcement, Flame Retardants, or Conductivity Systems can be Introduced Effectively. Its controlled characteristics Help maintain Consistency during Blending and Compounding Operations.
VALOX™ 176 General Purpose PBT Resin is specifically not intended for Direct Injection Molding use, as its Role is to function as a Versatile Intermediate Platform in material Development. Its Ease of Processing ensures Smooth Handling in Extrusion, Compounding, and Masterbatch Creation, enabling efficient Production of Customized Resin Systems.
The material Exhibits good Heat Resistance and Chemical Durability, which are retained even after further Modification. This makes it suitable for applications where Base Resin Stability is critical to Final Compound Performance, particularly in demanding Industrial or Electrical Environments.
Because the material is not designed as a finished application Resin, it is not UL94 Classified, allowing it to remain Flexible for formulation into a Wide range of End-Use material Systems with Tailored performance Characteristics.
In application, this Resin is widely used for Custom Compounding, Additive Masterbatches, Reinforced Systems, and Specialty Formulations, where material Engineers require a reliable and Adaptable Base Polymer to achieve Specific performance Targets.
