VALOX™ 3706 Resin is an Unreinforced, Impact-Modified Flame-Retardant PBT+PC Blend engineered for applications requiring an excellent balance of Impact Strength, Chemical Resistance, Flame Performance, and Outdoor Durability. Developed for Electrical and Industrial applications, this Advanced Engineering Resin combines the Strengths of Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) and Polycarbonate (PC) to deliver reliable performance in demanding Service Environments.

The unique PBT/PC Alloy Structure Leverages the Advantages of both Polymers. The PBT Component contributes excellent Chemical Resistance, Dimensional Stability, and Mechanical Strength, while the Polycarbonate Phase provides enhanced Toughness and Impact Resistance. This combination enables VALOX™ 3706 to withstand Mechanical Stress and Environmental exposure without Compromising Long-Term Performance.

A Major benefit of VALOX™ 3706 Resin is its Impact-Modified Formulation, which Improves Resistance to Cracking and Breakage under demanding Operating Conditions. Components Molded from this material retain Toughness and Durability, making the Grade suitable for applications exposed to Frequent Handling, Vibration, and Outdoor Environments.

The material also provides excellent Chemical Resistance, helping protect Parts from exposure to Oils, Greases, Cleaning Agents, Moisture, and Industrial Contaminants. This Characteristic is particularly valuable for Outdoor Electrical and Industrial Equipment where Environmental exposure can significantly affect Product Lifespan.

As a Flame-Retardant PBT+PC Blend, VALOX™ 3706 is designed to meet Stringent Safety requirements while maintaining reliable Mechanical and Environmental Performance. The Resin Achieves UL94 V-0 Classification from 1.50 mm to 3.00 mm, while Wall Thicknesses Ranging from 0.75 mm to 1.49 mm are Rated UL94 HB. This combination of Flame performance and Toughness provides Designers with greater flexibility when developing durable Electrical and Industrial Components.

Rather than Relying on Reinforcement to achieve Performance, VALOX™ 3706 Utilizes an optimized Impact-Modified formulation that Balances Toughness, Flame Resistance, and Chemical Durability. This makes it an attractive Solution for applications where Impact Resistance and Environmental Stability are equally important Design Considerations.
