VALOX™ 4521 Resin is a 20% Glass Fiber Reinforced Flame-Retardant PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) Engineering Resin designed to provide an excellent balance of High Heat Performance, Electrical Reliability, Chemical Resistance, and Dimensional Stability. As Part of the VALOX™ Flame-Retardant Portfolio, this Grade is engineered to support demanding Electrical and Electronic applications where both Mechanical Durability and Safety Compliance are Critical.
The Incorporation of 20% Glass Fiber Reinforcement enhances the Stiffness and Strength of VALOX™ 4521 while maintaining good Dimensional Accuracy. This Reinforcement also contributes to Low Warpage Characteristics, helping manufacturers achieve improved Part Consistency and Tighter Assembly Tolerances for Precision-Molded Components.
A Key Feature of VALOX™ 4521 Resin is its excellent Thermal Stability and Heat Endurance Performance. The material is Capable of maintaining Mechanical Integrity and Electrical performance under Elevated Operating Temperatures, making it suitable for Long-Term use in demanding Electrical Environments. In addition, the Polyester Structure provides excellent Chemical Resistance, helping protect components from Oils, Greases, Cleaning Agents, and Industrial Chemicals.
Beyond its Mechanical and Thermal Advantages, VALOX™ 4521 delivers Outstanding Electrical performance through its High Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) and High Relative Thermal Index (RTI) Characteristics. These properties Help Improve Insulation reliability and reduce the Risk of Electrical Tracking in Safety-Critical applications. Additional Benefits include good Color Stability, excellent Adhesion to Epoxy Materials, and Laser Markability, supporting Modern Manufacturing and Traceability Requirements.
