VALOX™ 457 PBT 6.5% Glass Reinforced Flame Retardant Brominated Resin

High Heat, Chemical Resistance with Excellent Balance Properties

VALOX™ 457 Resin is a 6.5% Glass Fiber Reinforced Flame-Retardant PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) Engineering Resin designed to provide a balanced combination of High Heat Resistance, Mechanical Strength, Stiffness, and Electrical Performance. Developed for Electrical and Electronic applications, this Grade offers Dependable Thermal and Structural properties while delivering the Flame-Retardant Protection required for Safety-Critical Components.

The addition of 6.5% Glass Fiber Reinforcement enhances the Mechanical performance of VALOX™ 457, Improving Stiffness and Strength compared to Unreinforced PBT Grades. This Reinforcement helps Molded Parts maintain their Dimensional Integrity under Mechanical Loads while providing the Rigidity Needed for Precision-Engineered Electrical Components.

A Key Feature of VALOX™ 457 Resin is its High Heat Stability, enabling components to withstand Elevated Operating Temperatures without Significant Loss of Performance. The Semi-Crystalline PBT Structure contributes excellent Dimensional Stability and Resistance to Thermal Deformation, making the material suitable for applications where Long-Term reliability is Essential.

The Resin also delivers excellent Chemical Resistance, helping protect components from exposure to Oils, Greases, Cleaning Agents, and Industrial Chemicals. This Durability supports the use of VALOX™ 457 in demanding Environments where both Electrical performance and Environmental Resistance are required.

As a Brominated Flame-Retardant Grade, VALOX™ 457 provides Outstanding Fire Safety performance while maintaining good Mechanical and Processing Characteristics. Its combination of Flame Retardancy, Heat Resistance, Stiffness, and Chemical Durability makes it well suited for Electrical components requiring a balance of Safety and Structural Performance.
