VALOX™ 780 Resin is a Glass and Mineral Reinforced Flame-Retardant PBT/PET Blend developed for Electrical and Electronic applications requiring a combination of Mechanical Strength, Dimensional Stability, Thermal Performance, and reliable Flame Retardancy. Designed as a General-Purpose Engineering Resin, this Grade offers excellent performance for Molded Electrical Housings and Related components where Safety and Durability are critical Requirements.

The combination of PBT and PET Polyester Technologies provides a balanced Property Profile with excellent Dimensional Stability and Mechanical Integrity. Reinforcement with Glass Fiber and Mineral Fillers further enhances Stiffness and Structural Strength, allowing Molded Parts to maintain Dimensional Accuracy under Mechanical and Thermal Loads. These characteristics Contribute to improved performance in demanding Electrical applications.

A Key Advantage of VALOX™ 780 Resin is its Brominated Flame-Retardant System with Non-Blooming Characteristics. This formulation helps maintain a Clean Surface appearance while delivering Dependable Flame-Retardant performance for Safety-Critical applications. The Grade Was developed to help manufacturers meet Stringent Electrical Industry requirements and UL Flammability Standards.

In addition to its Flame-Retardant Capabilities, VALOX™ 780 offers Low Warpage, good Thermal Stability, and excellent Chemical Resistance. Components Molded from this material can withstand exposure to Oils, Greases, Cleaning Agents, and Common Industrial Chemicals while maintaining Dimensional Accuracy and Long-Term Reliability. These properties make the Resin well suited for Electrical Housings and other engineered components Operating in Challenging Environments.

Although VALOX™ 780 has Historically Been a widely used Reinforced Flame-Retardant Polyester Blend, this Grade has Been Replaced by VALOX™ 420SE0 for Many applications. Nevertheless, its Established combination of Flame Performance, Dimensional Stability, and Mechanical Strength makes it a Notable material within the VALOX™ Portfolio.
