VALOX™ 855 Resin is a 15% Glass Fiber Reinforced Flame-Retardant PBT/PET Engineering Resin developed to deliver an excellent balance of Thermal Stability, Chemical Resistance, Surface Appearance, and Mechanical Performance. This Specialty Polyester Blend combines the Strengths of Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), providing a durable Engineering material for applications requiring both Aesthetic Appeal and Flame-Retardant Protection.

The addition of 15% Glass Fiber Reinforcement enhances the Stiffness and Dimensional Stability of VALOX™ 855 while maintaining good Processability. Components Molded from this Resin Exhibit reliable Structural Integrity and Dimensional Accuracy, making the material suitable for Parts that must retain their Shape and performance over Extended Periods of Service.

A Notable Characteristic of VALOX™ 855 Resin is its excellent Aesthetic Gloss and Surface Finish. Unlike Many Reinforced Materials that Prioritize Mechanical properties over Appearance, this Grade is formulated to deliver an attractive Molded Finish with High Visual Quality. This makes it particularly valuable for Visible components where both performance and appearance are Important.

The Resin also offers High Heat Endurance Performance, allowing Parts to maintain their Mechanical properties and appearance when exposed to Elevated Temperatures. Combined with the Inherent Chemical Resistance of Polyester Materials, VALOX™ 855 Performs reliably in Environments where exposure to Oils, Greases, Detergents, and Household Chemicals may occur.

As a Member of the VALOX™ Flame Retardant Series, this Grade provides enhanced Fire Safety while preserving the Toughness, Dimensional Stability, and Surface Quality Expected from a Premium Engineering Resin. The Result is a material that successfully Bridges the Gap between Functional performance and Aesthetic Requirements.
