XENOY™ 1103 PC/PBT Resin is engineered to function as a material that manages Impact Energy rather than resisting it rigidly. designed for Automotive Environments, it provides controlled deformation behavior that helps protect components under sudden or repeated Stress Conditions.
The Unreinforced PC/PBT Structure enables a more Flexible Response compared to Fiber-Reinforced Systems. This allows the material to distribute Stress more evenly throughout the Part, reducing Localized Failure Points and improving Durability in applications exposed to Vibration, Shock, or Mechanical Impact.
XENOY™ 1103 PC/PBT Resin demonstrates excellent Low-Temperature Impact Strength, maintaining Ductility even when exposed to Cold Environments. This ensures reliability during Winter Conditions or Cold-Start Scenarios where Brittle Failure can occur in Less Resilient Materials.
Beyond Mechanical performance, the material offers Good Resistance to Automotive Fluids, including Oils and Common Service Chemicals. This helps preserve Surface Integrity and Structural Strength over time, minimizing degradation caused by continuous exposure in real Operating Environments.
XENOY™ 1103 PC/PBT Resin also support stable production through consistent Flow characteristics and Ease of Processing. It’s availability in Grey and Black Color options allows flexibility in Design while maintaining uniform appearance and material behavior across components.
This Unique material achieves UL94 HB Classification from 1.00 mm to 3.00 mm, making it suitable for General Automotive applications where baseline Flame performance is Sufficient and Mechanical Durability is prioritized.
The XENOY™ 1103 PC/PBT Resin is well suited for Automotive Housings, Exterior Trim components, Mechanical supports, and Impact-exposed Parts, where flexibility, Toughness, and Chemical Resistance must Work Together.
