XENOY™ 1731 Resin Low CTE, High Modulus with Good Impact Strength

Chemical Resistance with Good Weatherability for Automotive Exteriors

XENOY™ 1731 PC/PBT Resin is developed for applications that must withstand continuous Outdoor exposure while maintaining both Mechanical Strength and Surface Stability. It is engineered specifically for Automotive Exteriors, where Materials are expected to Endure Sunlight, Temperature Variation, and Environmental Contact over extended Periods.

The PC/PBT Alloy Structure combines Toughness with Stability, delivering a material that resists deformation and maintains Dimensional Accuracy. Its Low Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) and High Modulus Help Ensure that Parts remain Structurally stable even under Thermal Cycling, which is critical for Exterior components exposed to Fluctuating Climates.

XENOY™ 1731 PC/PBT Resin incorporates UV Stabilization Technology, enabling Long Term Retention of Mechanical Properties and preventing Surface degradation caused by Sunlight exposure. This ensures that components maintain both appearance and performance, reducing the Risk of Cracking, Fading, or Embrittlement over time.

The material also offers Good Chemical Resistance, protecting against Automotive Fluids, Environmental Contaminants, and Cleaning Agents. combined with its inherent Impact Strength, it provides Durability in real World Conditions where both Environmental exposure and Mechanical Stress Occur Simultaneously.

XENOY™ 1731 PC/PBT Resin support efficient manufacturing through stable Processing and consistent Flow behaviour. This allows precise Molding of Exterior Parts that require both Structural reliability and High Quality Surface Finish for Visible applications.

The material is Rated UL94 HB from 0.75 mm to 3.00 mm, providing a baseline Level of Flame performance suitable for General Exterior applications where Flame Resistance is not the Primary Requirement.

XENOY™ 1731 PC/PBT Resin is ideally suited for Automotive Exterior components, Trim Panels, Housings, and exposed Structural Parts, where Long Term Weatherability, Mechanical Strength, and Chemical Resistance must Work Together.

XENOY™ 1731 PC/PBT Resin is RoHS Compliant, supporting Responsible material selection while delivering durable performance in exposed Outdoor Environments.
