XENOY™ XD1607 PC/PBT Resin is designed to Offer a Well Balanced combination of Mechanical Strength and Surface Quality, making it a Strong Choice for applications where Higher Levels of Reinforcement are required without Sacrificing Appearance. It is particularly suited for Structural components where both performance and Finish are Equally Important.
The material Contains 22% Glass Fiber Reinforcement, which enhances Stiffness and Overall Strength. This allows Parts to maintain their Shape and Structural Integrity even when exposed to Mechanical Loads or Elevated Temperatures.
XENOY™ XD1607 PC/PBT Resin is especially Well Suited for Gas Assist Molding Processes. in these applications, Internal Gas Channels Help Reduce Weight and material Usage while enabling more Complex Part Geometries. The Resin’s Flow behaviour supports stable Cavity Formation and helps maintain consistent Quality during these Advanced Molding Techniques.
One of the Standout Benefits of this Grade is how it manages to retain a good Surface Finish despite its High Glass Content. It Minimizes Visible Fiber Patterns on the Surface while still delivering Strong Mechanical Performance. This makes it Ideal for Semi Visible Parts where both Durability and Acceptable Aesthetics are required.
XENOY™ XD1607 PC/PBT Resin also offers good Impact Resistance and Solid Chemical Resistance, helping Parts withstand Long Term use in Demanding Environments such as Automotive and Industrial applications.
Processing remains stable and Consistent, even with the Higher Glass Content. This Translates to reliable Molding Performance, Repeatable Quality, and accurate Dimensions across Production Runs.
XENOY™ XD1607 PC/PBT Resin is not UL94 Rated, as it is Primarily Formulated to Prioritize Strength, Surface Balance, and Compatibility with Advanced Molding Techniques rather than Flame Retardancy.
It is an excellent Fit for Automotive Structural Components, Gas Assist Molded Parts, Housings, and Semi Visible engineered Parts, where Stiffness, Impact Strength, and controlled Surface appearance are all critical.
This material is RoHS Compliant, supporting Responsible material selection while delivering Reinforced performance with a Well Controlled Aesthetic Finish.
